Agency Volunteers for Outdoor California
Location North Bay (NB),San Francisco (SF),North Coast (NC),Sonoma (SN)
Location description

This trail begins in California chapparal, winds down into oak and bay forests, then descends farther into a lush fern grove. The change in scenery in just 2 miles is amazing.

The trail has not had much, if any, maintenance in some 20 years. Significant brush growth, slough buildup and erosion damage has occurred in these two years. V-O-Cal will work to improve all of these conditions starting with the brush clearing. There are also multiple switchback features along the trail which need various degrees of rehabilitation which we will perform during the weekend.
